Terms of Use

Effective October 19, 2026

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and us, the provider of Savenova ("we", "us"). You agree to them, and to the Privacy Policy, by ticking the box when you set the app up and by using the app. If you do not agree, do not use Savenova. By agreeing, you confirm that you are old enough and legally able to accept them where you live. If you downloaded Savenova from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies; if anything here conflicts with it, these terms apply where the law allows.

2. What Savenova is, and is not

Savenova helps you track income, spending, savings and goals on your own phone. It is a budgeting tool only. It is not a bank, a payment service, or a financial, investment, tax, legal or religious adviser, and nothing in it is advice of any kind. We have no duty of care to you as an adviser. Figures such as balances, forecasts, limits, exchange rates, asset prices and Zakah estimates are calculated automatically from what you enter and from outside sources, and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check anything important yourself, and consult a qualified professional or scholar before making financial or religious decisions. Every decision you make about your money is your own, and you are solely responsible for it.

Plan With Me's plans, answers and "what if" figures, including any growth rate you enter, are illustrations worked out from your own numbers, not forecasts or recommendations. Text from voice input may be transcribed incorrectly; review it before you send it.

3. Your data and your phone

Your data is stored only on your phone and is not backed up by us or by your phone's cloud backup. If you delete the app, clear its data, or lose, damage or reset your phone, your data is lost and cannot be recovered by anyone. You are responsible for what you enter into the app and for its accuracy, and for keeping your phone, its lock, and anything on it secure, including any screenshots or copies you make. Keeping your phone's system software up to date is also your responsibility. If your phone is rooted or jailbroken, modified, no longer receiving security updates, infected with malicious software, or affected by a flaw in its own software or hardware, anything that happens to your data on it as a result is at your own risk, and we are not responsible for it. See the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Reading bank messages

Reading bank messages or notifications is optional and only happens with your permission. You confirm that you are allowed to give Savenova access to the messages and notifications you choose. Transactions read from messages are recorded automatically and may be missed, duplicated, or read incorrectly; you are responsible for reviewing them.

5. Plans and subscriptions

6. Sharing message formats

If you choose to share the format of a bank message, you confirm that it contains no personal details, and you allow us to use it to help Savenova read similar messages for all users. Do not share anything that is not a bank or payment message, or anything unlawful or abusive.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app or its services, including by trying to break its security, overload our server, copy, modify or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, use it for anything unlawful, or get paid features without paying.

8. Ownership and licence

Savenova, its design, code, content and rules for reading messages belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use and in line with these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.

9. Changes to the app

We may change, suspend or stop Savenova or any part of it, including any feature, plan or service, at any time, with or without notice. Features described as coming soon may change or never be released. We are not liable to you for any such change, other than as required by law for a subscription you have paid for.

10. No warranty

Savenova is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, reliability, security, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that figures, balances, forecasts, categories, exchange rates, asset prices or Zakah estimates are correct or complete, that every bank message will be recognized correctly, that the app is free of errors or harmful components, or that it will always be available. You use Savenova at your own risk.

11. Third-party services

Savenova relies on services we do not control, such as Google Play, the App Store, your phone's operating system, your bank and its messages or notifications, Apple Shortcuts, and the sources of exchange rates and asset prices. We are not responsible for them, for what they provide, or for any loss they cause.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, Savenova. This includes lost or corrupted data, financial loss, lost profits or savings, missed or late payments, fees or penalties, overspending, decisions made using the app, wrong or missing figures, and anyone else accessing your phone or data. This applies however the loss is caused and even if we were told it was possible. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Savenova in the 12 months before the claim, or nothing if you paid nothing.

13. Your responsibility to us

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover any claims, losses or costs, including reasonable legal costs, that we face because you broke these terms, misused Savenova, broke the law, or shared something you were not allowed to share.

14. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages of networks, stores, hosting or other providers, changes made by Google, Apple or your bank, or natural or other disasters.

15. Ending your use

You can stop using Savenova at any time by deleting it; cancel any subscription in your store account first. We may stop providing Savenova to you if you break these terms. The sections on ownership, no warranty, third-party services, limitation of liability, your responsibility to us, and your rights under local law continue to apply after you stop using the app.

16. Claims

To the extent the law allows, any claim relating to Savenova must be brought within one year of when it arose, and only on your own behalf, not as part of a group or class action.

17. Your rights under local law

Nothing in these terms takes away any protection you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live that cannot be waived by agreement, or limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced where you live, it applies to the greatest extent allowed and the rest still applies.

18. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Savenova. If we do not enforce a part of these terms, we have not given up the right to do so later. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms; you may not transfer yours. If these terms are translated, the English version applies where they differ.

19. Apple

If you use Savenova on an Apple device: these terms are between you and us only, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are responsible for Savenova and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Savenova. If Savenova fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Savenova. Apple is not responsible for any claims by you or anyone else relating to Savenova, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that it infringes anyone's intellectual property. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we will update this page and its effective date, and may ask you to agree again in the app. By continuing to use the app after a change, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app.

21. Contact

For questions about these terms, use Send Feedback in the app's side menu, or the contact details on Savenova's page in the App Store or Google Play.
